Breaks and spacers palette shows all symbols gray and unavailable.
^what I said. I click on the palette and it shows all the symbols but in gray and impossible to select and use any of the elements.
I just downloaded version 3 after using version 2 for years without problems and nothing seems to work as it should. Please help... I am wasting hours and at my wit's end.

They are indeed gray, which simply is their color (as they're invisible when printed). But you should be able to double click them after selecting a measure in the score to apply them. Dragging should work as well.

Indeed, since a few months in version 3, some colors in the application have been modified, for example Breaks and spacers. Nevertheless, you can customize them to your liking by going to the menu "Edit" / Preferences / Advanced -> in the drop down list, choose your color via "ui/score/layoutBreakColor".
