About box way too wide
Is it just me? The about box is about 50% wider than my screen (1280x1024), with a lot of junk in the last line, below the "GNU General Public License", like:
{3c?} {4.0/?} {3.?} {40/?}...

Not just you - it's behaving like that on my latest self build from last weekend.
Probably gremlins :)

Phew, and I though I finally managed to destroy my build environment.
This damp PC is freezing frequently and a needs a power cycle to get back to life, file system corruption included, even lost my local git repository one :-(

No issues seen on my Win8 64-bit self-build, git e98bd2b, or a previous version.

Using a translation or just "system" in the US? If so what happens if you switch to en_US? Or en_GB?
What about Michael and Robert?
I have the gut feeling that the translations are screwd up somehow.
In reply to Using a translation or just by Jojo-Schmitz
I can see everything normal under Windows 8.1, personal build of e98bd2b, with "system", or "en_US", or even "Deutsch" (left aside the fact that I could not understand a single word of what was written in this case).
Have you tried to delete
C:\Users\<your username>\AppData\Local\MuseScore\MuseScoreDevelopment
and
C:\Users\<your username>\AppData\Roaming\MuseScore\MuseScoreDevelopment.ini
(or the equivalent in your OS) and then launch mscore again?
[Just remember to download again the translations from the resource manager, after this passage]
Hope this helps.
Ciao,

duty to report: seems to resolve with the upgrade from Resource Manager

Ah, so it was indeed a screwd up translation, it seems
Thanks, Franz, for checking, I can confirm that it does work properly with the latest (German) translation now.
Just happened again, and got fixed by updating to the latest translation.
So it is not a one time issue with a corrupt or broken translation, but rather a bug.
Reported in #25152: 'About' box way too wide when using an outdated translation
In reply to Just happened again, and got by Jojo-Schmitz
I think the "broken" translation (for some languages) is the one contained in the github repository, therefore the one shipped with a Nightly build, or given by a personal build of the (untouched) source before an update with resource manager.
Have you deleted the translation in your (...)\AppData\Local\MuseScore\MuseScoreDevelopment\locale folder (or the whole MuseScoreDevelopment folder) just before you saw this problem again?
In reply to Broken translation ? by ABL
I had that issue today with a self build version. And no, I haven't deleted the translations first.
Well possible that because these were outdated MuseScore fell beck to the translation that comes from GitHub.
In that case it seem about time to update the translations on GitHub...
