Notes still in original staff after moving them to the other one
Hello,
I appologize in advance because of my Newbie question. I googled it quite a while and kept finding the same replies.
So I imported a midi song and many notes were in the wrong staff. I changed the ones I wanted using CTRL+SHIFT+up (found here: https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/cross-staff-notation). This looks better but actually, if I click on the notes I moves, they are still being considered as belonging to their original staff. Also, if I select the very first note and extend the selection to the right, the selection will alternatively select notes (or silences) from one staff or the other, depending on their original location. What am I doing wrong? Is there another technique to changing staff? Attached, I kept just a few bars to illustrate my question.
Thanks for your nice software, I've been using it for a few months now and like it a lot!
Christophe

Indeed, cross staff notes belong to a different staff than they appear on, this is by design/definition. Use cut and paste to really move them to a different staff.

Ah ok, that makes sense. Thank you for your fast reply. It is working but it is a bit tricky to select the correct silence on the other staff so you can paste it to the correct location. Maybe having a similar shortcut as the "cross-staff notes" might be a nice enhancement for this kind of workflow. Thanks again for your great project, which is really help the musician community!
