Thick Vibrato lines
I was wondering if there was a way to increase the thickness of vibrato lines, because i cant find anything in the symbols tab.

If you mean the vibrato lines added from the Lines palette, note there are two of them - normal and wide. But indeed, neither can currently be configured further.

The problem is that i don't want the segments to be longer, but simply that the stretch further over the stave

Doesn’t the usual method of extending lines (eg, select a range before clicking the palette item to add it, or use Shift+Left/Right after selecting on of the handles on the line) do this already?

And that's what the "wide" version does. You need it thicker still? Seems like it would be awfully heavy. There are also the two "sawtooth" variants.
Maybe attach your score - or a relevant excerpt at least - so we can be sure we're talking about the same thing.

Like this for instance and i know the sawtooth style but it just doesnt do it for me

Oh, so you don't literally mean vibrato at all, you are using the line to mean something else entirely, it seems.
For a custom usage like this, I'd recommend building your line. For instance, create staff text (Ctrl+T), press F2 to view the Special Characters palette, click Musical Symbols, then Multi-segment lines. Now you can build a line by clicking symbols there. You'll see a variety of shapes and sizes, plus you can increase the size of the text element itself (you'll want at least 20 point for sure).

Sorry! I wantede to use it as a sort of ad lib. marking but I can't seem to find the special characters palette.
Somehow F2 doesn't work

You have to press it while in text edit mode. Or use the corresponding button on the text toolbar.

Nice thank you! It looks like this now

This is a great way to make a vibrato increase and decrease line, thanks. But is there a way to scale the length of the line to have it fit exactly over a set of notes (like a normal cresc. or dim. line)?

Not if you use the text approach - you'd need to use the regular vibrato line for that.
