Change instruments in Musescore 3
I use Musescore to enter men's choir songs. Under Musescore 2 I could choose "tenor" and "bass" instruments, enter the notes for the four parts, then change the instruments to piano. The notes would remain the same both physically on the score, and the playback. Now under Musescore 3 when I attempt to change the instruments to piano the notes on the treble cleft are transcribed way below the staff, and when I change the instrument in the bass cleft to piano, the cleft is changed to a treble cleft and the notes are transcribed way below this staff as well. The playback is the correct notes as originally entered. Is there a way to change instruments in Musescore3 without causing such a distorted looking score?

Looks like the problem came from Clef (https://musescore.org/en/handbook/clefs#add )
Assuming your goal is to just hear a different sound for playback, don't use Change Instrument, that will change more than just the sound. A limitation in MuseScore 2 caused it to not change the clef, but that is fixed, so now MuseScore will change to the proper clef any time you change instruments, and that's the problem here. So instead, to only change the playback sound, use View / Mixer. That was the recommended method in MuseScore 2 too, BTW.

Thanks - had no idea how to change instrument playback until I found this.
