An old issue is back
Hi, Gang!!!
I use MuseScore 3.4.2 (Portable AppImage) in Ubuntu Studio 19.10 (64 bits Linux).
Since a week, I have, again, an issue which was fixed, at least in my configuration, at a long time ago: Each time I start MuseScore, I have to go to the Edit menu, Preferences option, I/O tab and press the [Restart Audio and MIDI devices] button to get sound from the MuseScore internal synthesizer.
I guess, a week ago there was an Ubuntu upgrade which changed something related with this, but... I don't have any clue about those things!!!
BUT... All the people using Ubuntu (any version) knows that soon we will have a massive upgrading process from 19.10 (or any other) to the brand new 20.04. So... I don't know if there is a good idea to fix this issue now, thinking in that massive upgrade...
But... I just want to speak about this issue is back... Again!!!

Have you tried pressing the MIDI button in the top bar a couple of times?
