Drum Part issues with 4.5.1

I have downloaded the new 4.5.1 version and while trying to write a Snare Drum Part...every time I touch a Bar the screen keeps getting a pop-up which covers the music....to select an instrument. Very annoying. My question: Is it possible to go back a step and re-install 4.4 again? Thanks
