Problem adding time signature
I tried to add a 3/16 time signature from my palette to the score and received an error "Tuplets cannot cross barlines" (huh?) All other sigs in palette work fine.
Is there a workaround? (ver 3.3.4)

Score needed, but that error message is known to be wrong at times (the message, not the error)
Also update to 3.4.2

Thanks, Jo-jo...
It was near the beginning so I cut and paste 23 bars to a new score and the problem did not arise on new score. (?)
Also...
I'm not clear on a few things. Would 3.4.2 overwrite (replace) 3.3.4? What happens to score I am working on? Scores in Musescore 3 folder?

3.4.2 would (and should) overwrite and replace 3.3.4. Settings are kept, scores left untouched

Thanks.
In most cases that error message means exactly what it says. If you have a score in 4/4, and there is an eighth note triplet somewhere (three eighths in the space of one quarter, which is also to say, in the space of four sixteenth), you can't change it to 3/16, because that eighth note triplet would take up more than a full measure.

Thank you, Marc. I completely understand that. I'll add this for the benefit of developers who might read it:
In my case (and as I've seen in another post elsewhere) I entered a new 3/16 measure after a series of 2/4 and got the message. When I copied the preceding 23 measures onto a new score, then added a 3/16, there was no problem on that occasion.
