Uploading copyrighted scores as private is this ok?
At the moment I'm learning clarinet and I have the Grade 1 ABRSM book. I notice that pretty much all the music in the book says about it being covered by copyright law and must not be copied.
I've got Musescore on both my android tablet and on my PC and I find it quite handy to put the music from the book into musescore and then upload it as private to musescore so I can practice it using the practice mode on the app on the tablet.
I presume this is ok as I've set it to private and it's a sheet music book I've bought and so I'm not sharing it with the public?

That is indeed the correct way to handle this.

Thank you for that reply - so some of the scores then Musescore has a license for anyway (kind of like youtube) and otherwise it's ok to publish them private.
I'm actually quite glad that I know musescore is actually licensing the songs they have available on the app.

publish them private nice oxymoron.
