sotware stopped working
love this software ! i work at school of rock and use it all the time.
Recently, when i try to open musescore my computer freezes up. ive tried to uninstall and reinstall with NO LUCK. bottom line, muse score is causing my computer to freeze up and i need to restart and avoid opening musescore. PLEASE HELP ;) Thanks

What operating system (Windows, MacOS) and what version of that operating system? And what version of MuseScore (might be hard to say if you can't start it at all)? Try the steps in the Handbook under "Revert to factory settings".

If he's on Windows, he should be able to right-click the program name in the "All Programs" list and then read the version info from the "Properties" dialogue.
MuseScore retains its settings across a reïnstall. See if reverting to factory settings solves it for you: https://musescore.org/en/handbook/revert-factory-settings-0
I have also had the same problem recently with this remarkable software. I am using the latest version of Musescore (2.0.3). After trying to open the program on an Acer Aspire One Series (model ZHG) and experiencing the same problem of the computer freezing up, I tried reinstalling and reverting to factory settings with no such luck. I moved on to my second computer (being an HP laptop, but that's all of the information I have right now), but got the same result even after troubleshooting with the same methods. Both computers run on Windows 8. Not sure if this helps, but the last time I opened Musescore before today was roughly 3-4 months ago. Thanks!
Have you tried using "System Restore" (assuming you're on a Windows machine)? Pick a restore point earlier than the problem manifested itself, and see if it works. If it does, try to remember what (if any) new software or updates you installed after that point which might be conflicting with MuseScore and causing this problem.
