[GO TO] Specific Button

• Apr 5, 2016 - 20:15

Hi, gang!!!

I know this feature request is not about the main target of the MuseScore software, but...

Why not to add an specific [GO TO] button on some place of the MuseScore main menu? ???

This [GO TO] button should have the following capabilities (all of them with an extra pop up menu, of course):

1) Go to an specific measure (for example: Go to measure number 10, or 25, etc.).

2) Go to an specific section (for example: Go to the Coda).

3) Go to a rehearsal section beginning (for example: Go to [A2] rehearsal section).

4) Go to the starting point of the piece (whatever the point we are).

Why not? ???

BTW: Most of the "standard" software (not specifically music related) often uses the [F5] key to this function (Go To... somewhere). Why not MuseScore? ???

Just an idea.

All of this issue is about to help with the trees saving actions (because we should leave the paper printed music scores to the mayor libraries and to use the computer to our rehearsals and shows).

Greetings & Blessings from Chile!!!!!!!

Juan

The Ctrl+F ("Find") command does just about all of that. Enter a number to go to that measure, or add "p" in front "p7" to go to that page, or a letter to go to that rehearsal mark.

Thanks a lot for your data!!!

I didn't know it.

But... I think that an specific button wouldn't be a bad idea.

Greetings!!!!!!!
