Search "hide empty staves (staff)"

I find the search facility very frustrating. Perhaps I just don't know how to use it?

For example, just now, there was an enquiry regarding how to hide empty staves in a large score.

I go to "handbook" and look through the headings, see nothing that suggests a way in.

SoI go to the search box and write "hide empty staves". I get taken to results that have to do with text properties and other elements, but nothing about staves.

So, I change "staves" to "staff". Result: I get taken back to the top result being about text properties. This is not an isolated result. I am usually frustrated with the search function.
