Default instrument
Some of us out here only write music for ourselves. I think it would be nice to have a feature where we can set a default instrument for new scores. For example, I play the alto sax. I would like to see a feature where I can simply set it and forget it so that alto sax is already selected so that I can just click through to the things I wish to change.

Or, create your own score set up the way you like and go to Edit / Preferences and tell MuseScore you want to start up with that score every time instead of the default "My First Score".
