Tenuto or staccato entry method not optimal

I have a two voices in one staff. In musescore 1.0 there you can define the anchor for articulation signs either chord, above staff and below staff. Per default it is set to "chord". With this setting the tenuto or staccato signs will be positioned relative to the note head. In a 2-voice staff it would be helpful to have the anchor point of the articulation signs tied to the stem rather to the note head.
Maybe I missed something. If so, please could someone give some help how to resolve this issue?
