why not split the 'Support' section of the forum into two.

Interesting proposal but I'm not sure what would be the benefit. When submitting a bug report, it's advised to always post the revision number (rxxxx) when you use a prerelease. Could you explain a little more what would be the advantage of splitting it up?

Splitting it up maybe not but have a way to tag the issue/bug with the version makes sense.
