Development kick off session

• May 1, 2016 - 20:25

Hi,

I see that MuseScore is officialy located in my country (Belgium).
So I wonder if it would be possible to organize a development kick off session.
I mean a physical one, not virtual on the internet.
Why?
I was, a long time ago, not so bad with C programming (writing in the registry of my Amstrad PC1512 to access the special color modes, or writing a compiler for a simplified Pascal, ...)
But now I'm more busy with C#, javascript and SQL.
Meaning, I should be able to use the instructions given here to start contributing to MuseScore, but I'm afraid I will lose much time for stupid details that would quickly and effectively solved by the physical presence of a mentor.
If a day would be proposed where one could come with its laptop (with prerequisites installed) and first steps in compiling, debugging, step by step executions explained, how to pull, to push, ... general principles on the MuseScore data structures, ... perhaps a very small change implemented as exercice, ... I would certainly participate.

What do you think?
