There are at least 2 solutions:
1) You can get a (free) account on musescore.com (note the "com"). Then you can upload your score. If you choose, you can make your score "private" so no one else can see it.
2) Upload your score to your e-mail account. Start an e-mail and attach the score to a e-mail to yourself. You can get free e-mail at yahoo, gmail etc.
Your idea of storing your musescocre files on a website in addition to on your PC is a GOOD idea. Remember ALL PC storage, especially hard drives, is TEMPORARY. I've heard horror stories (here on musescore) of people loosing music when their PC crashed.
