Missing instruments

• May 4, 2016 - 14:09

I found out that instruments “soprano recorder” and “alto recorder” are not anymore present in instrument selection (neither all instruments nor early music). I used them a lot in the past; in my older scores the staves are still labeled as soprano (or alto) recorder. But I cannot create new staves with these instruments anymore. Is it a purpose, the name just changed, or is it a bug?
Thanks

I see it in 2.0.3, in #52631: Incorrect displaying of dots during playing you stated to be isung 2.0.0, so please upgrade and try with 2.0.3.
(Edit: this was a year ago, so maybe you updated already)

Also make sure to not use some customized instruments.xml but the default settings as seen in https://musescore.org/en/handbook/preferences#score
If that still doesn't help, what's your language setting, maybe it is a bogus translation?

No need to crosslink two issues, I can reply in relevant string as well :)
I use GB English, and my file insturments.xml is NOT customized. I use default settings. That is why I am concerned by the fact that soprano recorder is present in my instruments.xml file, but I cannot see in running Musescore.
Maybe my instument.xml is somewhat corrupted? My I obtain original version somewhere?
But thanks for help anyway :)

Same in my case - (ubuntu) version 2.0.2 build 3543170. Searching for soprano and alto yielded nothing and then I found descant and treble. Could have sworn that they were soprano and alto in version 2.0.3 that I had compiled but I have since got rid of that build so can't check what language it was in or what Instruments.xml file I had.

Thanks for your effort, I realized that by myself like 5 minutes ago :)

I found treble and discantus recorder items, but I thought that they are different instruments.
