Playback and Icons

• May 4, 2016 - 15:23

I installed the 2.0.3 update yesterday and when I open Musescore now all of the icons above my sheet music are giant and all of the playback icons are grayed out and not able to be clicked (no audio playback). Did anyone else have this problem? Is there a way to make the icons look less like the desktop of my 61-year old mother's computer? Prior to the update, everything was scaled very nicely, it just seems to have blown up by 200%-300% after the update. If it is pertinent I'm working from a Surface Book running a 3000x2000 resolution screen. Any help would be great. Thanks!

Do you have multiple monitors attached to your computer, or is your monitor connected by some unusual method? I'm not familiar with the details of the Surface Book.

MuseScore attempts to detect the resultion of the monitor it is running to calculate appropriate sizes, and it normally gets this right, but in some rare cases it can get confused. Can you open a temrinal window (not sure how that is done on Surface Book) and run MuseScore from the command line with the "-d" option? This will cause it to display what it thinks your screen resolution is.
