Bracket font

Hi there,

I'm having trouble getting my instrument (or staff) brackets to display properly. The tips of my brackets get changed to a square box thing when I load in a staff style given to me by a friend (a .mss file). He uses a Mac and I'm on a PC so I'm wondering whether he might have a particular font that I don't. Could this be what's causing the problem? Any thoughts on how to fix this? Cheers,

Simon

Hi there,

I don't really want the winged repeats. This is not really where the problem is anyway. It's just my instrument or "group" brackets. I've attached the mss file that seems to be creating the problem. Actually, it won't let me attach the mss file. What do I do? Thanks,

Simon

You are right, it's a mac / windows issue. I will try to fix in the code.
In the meantime, you can edit the mss file with a text editor and look for MScore 20. Replaced it by just MScore or remove the 20 and the style should load without problem.

Edit : Apparently it's fixed. Your friend on Mac is using an old version of MuseScore. I can't reproduce the issue with MuseScore 1.0.

Hi,

I don't think I know how to edit an mss file. I tried going into Style--Edit Text Style in the and then searched for the MScore 20 font but couldn't find it. A font called MS Shell Dlg 2 seems to be used for most of the Text Styles. Should I change this font?

Once I finish my work on this file, I intend to send it back to my friend who's working on a Mac computer. I'm thinking the problem might just sort itself out once I do that. Do you agree? Still not sure what to do sorry. Any further assistance would be much appreciated. Thanks,
