Snap to grid (vertical and horizontal) not working for rests

• May 11, 2016 - 03:44

Isn't the snap-to-grid option applicable to rests? It isn't doing anything for me in 2.0.3.
I would imagine it ought to snap just like any other element?
Rests usually don't need to be moved, but that shouldn't take away the snapping ability.
If it is working for others I'd like to know so I can figure out what's wrong.

P.S. Pardon the change of subject within the same post, but I also noticed that the arrow keys do not snap the same way as mouse-dragging when snap-to-grid is enabled. In my opinion while these are enabled they ought to perform the same way. Any thoughts?

Arrow keys already "snap" - in 0.1sp increments when used alone, in 1sp increments when used with Ctrl. But with snap to grip enabled, the arrow keys "usually" will obey the grid when used without Ctrl. The exception are elements that are moved without needing to first enter "Edit mode".

Not sure why rests don't obey the grid setting when dragged with the mouse, but dragging rests with the mouse is never a good idea in the first palce - they should only be moved in 1sp increments (vertically, anyhow) which is why the arrow keys already do that by default, no need to even enter Edit mdoe.
