Repeated names
I am creating orchestral parts for single instruments.
The name of the instrument appears at the beginning of every stave.
How can I stop this?
I don't mind the name appearing in front of the first stave, but I don't need it for all.

Right click on a staff -> staff properties -> delete the short instrument name.

If you have a special reaosn to create these parts individually, by all means, continue to do so. But do be aware that the "normal" way to do this would be to create a score, with all parts visible at once - that's why it defaults to showing instrument names - then use File->Parts to extract the individual parts. Much, much easier in most cases, because you can hear playback of the full score, add markings that will appear in all parts, easily copy and paste between parts, verify parts line up correctly, etc.

In this case, I already posessed a score but one of the parts was badly handwritten. That's why I just needed to create a single part.
