I am unable to see the template I created in the choose template part.
So, I decided to make myself a march using the most recent nightly build. I first created a template and then saved it into the "Template" folder in the Musescore nightly section of my computer. When I came to create that march, the "Custom" templates that usually showed up in the "Choose templates" section did not show up.
Now, this is not an issue with a score, so I don't see why I need to post a score. If you want, I can post the template I made.

Check the folder path by Edit / Preferences ...

It shows up for me. Like Shoichi said, make sure the Preferences is looking in the same folder you dropped your template.
But please don't do any serious work in the nightly! The score saved by a nightly may never be openable by any release of MuseScore. See https://musescore.org/en/node/108671#comment-500861, for example—there I was lucky enough not to lose the whole score, only a little bit of formatting.
Did you restart MuseScore after saving the template? That is normally necessary for it to show up in the list.

I did, it showed. I did find another bug after I tried to input notes. I posted it as another forum topic.
