stop auto advance of the score page during notation input
How do I prevent the score from jumping forward when I'm working on the last measure of a page, and have not finished entering all of the chord notes in that last measure ?

Best advice is to put in the notes in Continuous View (see https://musescore.org/en/node/38436#viewing-modes). Or, in Page View, it might help to set pages to display vertically, one above the other, rather than laid out horizontally (see https://musescore.org/en/handbook/preferences#canvas).
