Single voice
I recognize that Musescore is a notation software, however can anything be done so that on playback a "single" tenor voice can be heard. Presently all voices seem to have some additional backup. They all sound choral. Please advise.

Search the internet to see if you can find such a solo voice in SoundFont format, and then load it into MuseScore's Synthesizer. For more info, see https://musescore.org/en/node/36171.
Alternatively, you could just use the Mixer to switch it to use trumpet or flute or some other single instrument sound.
