MuseScore 0.9.4 Freezes on the entrence of the third note of a triplet

• Mar 8, 2009 - 17:00

I had no trouble entering triplets in version 0.9.3 but as soon as I try to enter the third note of the triplet in version 0.9.4 the screen freezes after a few minutes the cursor turns to an hour glass which is movable in the window, then I can get to other applications and use them but muse score remains hung up. Mscore.exe acording to to windows task master is using 101,996K of memory and CPU is between 99 and 80. For the sound font in muse score I am using PC51D.sf2 - I like the feel of version 0.9.4 how can I fix this tuplet problem
After further inspection of the problem I have a few more problem to note any tuplet greater than 2 causes my muse score to freeze when one attempts to add the third note of the tuplet. For duplets it will not let you add the second note but the screen does not freeze the second note of the tuplet remains as a rest, but one can continue to compose music the memory used is 102,000k CPU between 40 and 0

I'm not able to reproduce this problem. Does MuseScore freeze every time you enter a triplet? What method of note entry are you using (mouse, keyboard, MIDI)?

both Midi and keyboard methods of tuplet entry work for me - so all I have to do is try to not use the mouse so much for note entry - Technically I guess it is not a real freeze because the mouse is still movable and once muse score goes into the background other programs run fine - but it definitely muse score hangs in a stuck state hour glass ever present after the attempt third mouse click of the triplet nothing else can be accomplished - one has to use end task from the task master to shut it down.
If it would be of any help I could attempt to capture some of the windows error report that wishes to be sent to microsoft although it looks like a bunch of gobbly goo to me you might know what it means in any case you solved my problem I can continue to use 0.9.4
thanks for your help
