Exporting/Collaborating?

Hi
I'm putting together a book of favourite Scottish Tines for my friend's birthday. I already had MuseScore from a previous project, and wondered if it could be used for this.

The problem is, in Muse score I can't figure out how to add anecdotes to the end of a score (i.e. a personal story about the tune). I tried different ways of copy/pasting to Word (2010) which didn't work. I even tried saving the score as a PNG, so I could crop the image and add it to a Word Document. But Windows live Photo Gallery doesn't support cropping this file. Same problem with SVG format.

Any Ideas on how to add anecdotes/tips to the scores? Much appreciated, Thanks.

Several ways actually. If you just need to put a couple of lines without much formatting you could do it directly in MuseScore using Frame or staff text (Select a notehead and press Ctrl + T) and drag and dropping the text.
For an example using Frame : http://musescore.com/score/22730

If you need more than the capabilities of MuseScore and you don't want to share the results on musescore.com for example. You could use Word or better OpenOffice, and export as a PNG. If your tune are only on one page you can use the Snippet Creator plugin to do the crop for you : http://musescore.org/en/project/snippetcreator
