.MUS scores

Is there any thought being given to being able to import .MUS scores?
Thanks.

I assume you mean .MUS scores from Finale? If so then the best method is to convert the .MUS file to MusicXML using Finale and then open up the MusicXML file in MuseScore.

I do not know first-hand but I have heard the file format for Finale scores is a mess of complexity and even Finale has difficulties supporting its own format (for example it does not offer backwards compatibility). Sibelius offers basic support for .mus files but the scores I have tried just gave me an error message. You get much better results via MusicXML.

You can use the free Finale Reader to open any .mus file.

Or pay for Notepad 2009 which I believe will let you export .xml files, which you can import into MuseScore.
