Displaying note name on the bottom of the screen

• Sep 16, 2016 - 08:54

If I select a note implemented on the score (e.g. F#), the bottom of the screen has a nifty status bar displaying information regarding that note. This includes pitch, etc. I admit that I sometimes blindly look here rather than the staff when doing some particular copying work. What I just realized is that if a note is tied to another note of the same pitch: e.g. F# 8th note tied to a F# 16th note, when I select the first F# note that display still shows, but... the catch! is that normally you can press up and down to shift the pitch and this information will be updated as usual on the bottom of the screen. Unfortunately, if the note is tied as exemplified, Musescore ceases to show the information after shifting the pitch and says List Selection instead. I think this is an error and the note information should continue to update just like when there are no ties.

The code is probably of the same sort as when multiple notes are selected so that it doesn't attempt to give a single pitch, but the tie should be making it be of one pitch and a complex duration should be shown.

Let me know if I'm misunderstanding anything. Ticket?
