move the score forward/backward by an 8th note

• Oct 9, 2016 - 17:57

I started with a midi in several weeks ago, and have been working on the score a while. Now when I try to play it by on a real instrument, it really seems to me the score is off by a half note. It really sounds to me like the downbeat should be the upbeat.

Is there anyway to insert an 8th note and shift the entire score forward, or similarly to move it back an 8th note? I'd like to know whether this makes the score more playable.

I really don't want to start all over from midi in.

I gave it a try, and it works great except for some triplets. One measure was filled with triplets, and it refused to paste. I simply deleted the 6 notes (two sets of triples) filling that measure. And cut/paste and it works well.

It played back great on the same computer. But after I saved the file (to mscx format) and tried to reopen (on a different computer also using the bleeding edge nightly build) it crashes. See forum issue: https://musescore.org/en/node/136676#comment-580496
