combining sound fonts
Is it possible to replace one or more of the instrument sounds without replacing the whole orchestra? Two examples:
1. If I find a flute sound font that sounds better than the one in GeneralUser GS MuseScore v1.43.st2, is there a way to make the substitution but keep the rest of these sounds?
2. I have a ~1999 Warren Trachtman CD with sound fonts for a Model C Steinway, but there are several sound fonts made at different striking intensities. So far as I can see, I can use only one of these at a time, but I'd like to combine them and have MuseScore pick the right one for the dynamics throughout the piece.
There must be a way to do it. Anybody know?

I had heard of Vienna, but not Viena, and I tried without success to use Vienna 10 years ago! Things have gotten a lot easier.

Viena appears to be a version of Vienna which has dropped an N in the title.
As far as I can see they are both the same application.

Viena and Vienna are two different software for the same purpose. Viena (with one « n ») is a free software to edit SF2 made in 2002 by Kenneth Rundt. While Vienna is a software by Creative, which used to be delivered with the Soundblaster cards.
I added Vienna to the list.

Vienna is still on Creative's website - if you can find your way to the download page!
I gave up last time and downloaded Viena :)
