Change in sound of my audio playback inside MuseScore

• Jul 10, 2025 - 23:20

I have used MuseScore for a couple years now and quite a while ago I downloaded the free audio libraries for MuseScore from MuseHub, which worked for me up until today. Today when i opened one of my scores i noticed the sound quality dropped severely and it utterly bothered me. I tried to open MuseHub to see if maybe the problem is in the libraries or anything connected to them, but MuseHub didn't load at all. Even when i tried to log into my accound it wanted to send the verification code, but i never got the code on my emal although the email I entered was completly right. I even restarted my computer, but no luck. This problem occurs in all of my MuseScore files. Also, when i opened up mixer all of my music fonts were on default MS Basic, which they weren't before, but when i tried setting that back to what i had yesterday I didn't find the options i had before, so i suppose the problem is in the sound libraries. I tried setting the sounds to at least what options i got, but it had little to no effect of improoving the sound. Even when i tried exporting the file into an mp3 file hoping the audio "defect" wouldn't be converted to there too, but i was wrong. Mp3s exported from files sound exactly the same (which i probably should ahve expected), but i had no toehr hope. It seems that it has problem with audio including dynamics, unusual intstrument playing, tremolos and reverb. I dont have much knowledge about technical stuff in MuseScore, so I'm sorry if any of these mistakes seem obvious to any of you, what i do know thoug is that the sound that i currently hear in audio-feedback bothers my workflow, so i will be very pleased if any of you could help me with this. I have Musescore 4.2 btw.
