Strange octave sound jumps

It's a bug, but, since I can't anticipate it, I can't send it in. So, I'm only asking if others have come across it:

Sometimes, when entering a pitch from the QWERTY keyboard, even though the note is in the correct position on the staff, the sound is an octave higher. Not a big deal, just an annoyance.

Anybody else?
