List of User Interface improvements.
Hi.
I am not a part of the development team. I am a very grateful user.
I am compiling a list of what I think needs to be improved in the UI.
I hope to then forward these to the developers, if they want them in this form.
I understand that having each one in a separate thread is optimal and is the way for each one to be addressed, but I think that a general list will be of use as perhaps many are related and can be solved at once.
So I request that you send me your ideas, not in the forums (although I encourage individual threads) but by contacting me through my account. I will credit everyone, but please understand that if you are not credited with your individual contributions, no slight is intended, I just don't want the whole thing to become unwieldy.
Frank O and I have already started on this and I would be glad to share what we have already discussed.

Me too. But I would love to see this being done publicly and not by email. We have the forum, IRC, the issue tracker, we can even open a Wiki page like MileStones

I suggested email are:
i don't want to clutter up the forums with multiple issues in a single post
Some issues may not be UI issues and so those persons can be directed to the proper places.
Also, this was a way to try and avoid repetitions.
On further thought, I too thought that a more public way might be better.
My idea was to add a field to the issue/forums entry forms specifying "UI".
I like the idea of a Wiki page.
I don't understand IRC.
What I hope to achieve by this is a dedicated place to address UI issues, gathered together so that an overview is easier.
I await further direction.

I would propose to use the issue tracker. There is a dropdown option User Interface in the Component list. Obviously you can make a wiki book page to keep track of all the issues using the [ # issue-number ] markup. Check the milestones page as example.

I'm afraid I don't understand how to make a page similar to the Milestones page. Instruction would be useful.
Also, in the issue tracker, should those ideas gathered so far be placed in one thread or in individual threads? If individual, it kind of defeats the purpose of a list.

I'd just add a section "UI" to that Milestone page? And there list all the related issues from the issue tracker. That way we have both, a list and individual issues in the tracker, suitable to be handled by the developers, one at a time.
