grace notes
I'm trying to insert 3 grace notes before the first note of a piece. The first measure would be three grace notes, a half note, a quarter rest and a quarter note (cut time). Following the instructions in the handbook creates the notes I want, but they subtract from the available beats in the measure.
How can I accomplish what I need, and/or where in the handbook are instructions to achieve this?

Grace notes are not counted autonomously. Select the first note, and then (repeatedly) Double-click on the grace note in the palette.

Thanks, Shiochi. I think I just did things in the wrong order.
