Octave error in part, correct in concert

• Oct 29, 2016 - 15:11

Steps:
- create new score for big band (I have it in G major)
- write some music for alto (I have F# A B A C)
- File->Parts->New for all
- check in Concert pitch mode and notated that everything is correct, both in the score and in the alto part
- in the score select a measure for the alto, right click->Staff Properties, Change instrument to Soprano Saxophone
- go to the soprano saxophone part and check with and without Concert Pitch.
-> some notes in the notated view are at the wrong octave.

See attached pictures, here is what I get. Also attached: the musescore file.

Closing and opening the file does not help, this time. Musescore 2.0.2. (sorry I still don't build master, QT is in the way. Maybe soon, but I have to prioritize writing music right now.)

Confirmed. Seems Could you file this as an official bug report in the issue tracker (eg, use Help / Report a Bug, from within MuseScore)?

BTW, the current version of MuseScore is 2.0.3, so you should definitely install that (or use the AppImage on Linux if 2.0.3 is not yet available for your particular distro). But the bug still exists in that version. Might be fixed for master as I know I fixed a few other transposition-related issues, but we should see if it is something we need to fix for 2.0.4.

Also, unless you are a developer or are interested in testing only, you don't want to build the master - it's nowhere near stable enough to use for real work (and even on the days when it looks like it is, chances are excellent that scores created with such a build will be orphaned before long).
