import problems, too many or too little beats in measure

i imported a bunch of scores from sibelius via dolet to xml format.

the ties never come through, but i don't mind editing those by hand.

there are a number of measures that are totally fubared though in every score. some measures will be one beat, some 7.5 beats. when i click on some measures it will select what looks like 7 measures or so even though there are bar lines visible. sometimes i can't delete bar lines.
