Slow response

• Nov 3, 2016 - 17:24

All of a sudden MuseScore response time for note entry has come to a crawl and the cursor and navigator are very jerky making any scoring impossible. Has this happened to anyone else? If so, is there a way to get it back to working normally. I've rebooted my computer several time but with no effect.

That worked! Thank you.
P.S.
Is there a way to disable the cursor from jumping to the top of the next page upon entering the first note of the last beat of last measure on the previous page? When entering, for example an eight note chord on that last beat requires dragging the cursor back seven times which is a real pain in the a--.

No need to move the cursor at all actually - just keep pressing Shift+letter to enter the full chord. If you are in continuous view you'll still see the chord, if not you may not but it will still be working. And indeed, "drag" is not not part of this operation in any case, it's a simple cursor key.

I think I prefer the using the left arrow (dumb of me to have not thought of that). I guess the rule on Shift+letter is always start at the bottom of the chord, since it seems to always put the Shift+letter note above the first note.
P. S. Yes, "dragging the cursor" was the wrong phrase. What I meant to say was "scrolling back down to the bottom of the previous page". Sorry.

Yes but if you didn't begin with the lower note you can still make it working by doing ctrl-down on the added note to change the octave.
