Music Score Font with name of the note in the note

• Nov 4, 2016 - 14:07

Hello,

for my son I would like to note some music notes where the name of the music note is in the music note itself. I attached an example.
Can I do this with MuseScore?

Thanks a lot for your kind support.

Kind Regards,
Marcel

Indeed, I added more noteheads for one of the next version of MuseScore. I'm interested to find out how you would want to use these noteheads.

You want to have these noteheads for all the notes in one score? Or only on some staves? or some measures? How would you expect to use them?

I personally would use them all or nothing to the extent I used them at all. For example, if a given score was designed for small children in an elementary school music class (either to be performed or an instructional material). But I could imagine someone wanting to apply them as with other notehead styles - select a range of music, apply the "notename" style and have the proper heads assigned to each note in the selection - so they could mix and match as they wanted. I think if we had that, we probably wouldn't need to worry about making it a staff style. We would, however, have to make sure the head updated itself if you changed pitch.

Hi,

my son just started to read music score. I would like to translate a few songs from the standard view into a child friendly reading form. This means I would need the score in different pitch and lenght.

Thanks a lot for your support.

Kind regards,
MArcel

Dear all,
