Ottave and guitar tab problem
Is there any way to use the ottava in the standard staff but not have it applied to the guitar tab in a linked staff? I found a workaround was to use an unlinked staff and put in the tabs written in the correct octave and then deleted the tab from the linked staff. However, I will lose the unlinked tab staff if I apply the "hide empty staves" feature. Is there any way to hide empty staves and still use ottava but have it only in the standard staff and not the guitar tab staff?
Thanks

This is a known issue, no great solution found so far. See #29986: Ottava notes from music staff do not translate correctly to linked tablature

Apparently not, but check yourself in the issue Marc mentioned and linked to

I did check the link. That doesn't obviate my question to Marc.

I haven't worked on this. I have no idea if anyone else has.
Create a second voice, an octave lower. Hide the notes in the top voice. Hide the tab frets in the lower voice.

In this case I'd think it'd be easier to go into the staff properties and change the transposition by an octave instead.
Again, old post resurrection, but I see I'm not the first.
I think my workaround is much simpler, and it works with linked staves.

The actual non-workaround solution has been backported to MuseScore 3.7.
Thanks Jojo!
It is working fine there now.
