Compatability issues

Just a quick question. (I think someone has brought this up before)

What is the backward compatability of Musescore files. I have some older files, and would like to open them in Musescore 2. How does this fit in with the portable versions?

I assuemi will have to export as a Mysuc XML file and then import?

It depends on how old your old files are. MuseScore 2 can open all files created since v0.9.6; if your files are older you'll need a 1.x version to open these.
The more manual adjustments were made in the old files, the higher the chance that you'll have to rework stuff in 2.x.
