First time user, v2.0.3 refuses to start?

Hi, first post here, I've just downloaded and installed the current build (2.0.3). Currently running Win 10 64-bit. I've tested some of the various available versions (portable, Win 7, Win 10) to no avail.

When I run MuseScore.exe the splash screen shows up for a second, then disappears and that's it. I've also tried several compatibility settings in Windows, but still no cigar.

It may be worth mentioning that I'm not yet running the Win 10 anniversary update, basically I haven't got around to installing it yet. Tested on a Win 7 machine and it runs fine, what am I doing wrong? Cheers
