How would one extend the twenty five page cap?

• Dec 10, 2016 - 07:41

I hate my songs being capped at 1 minute, it really hurts my endings...

Randomly my song will end on twenty five or so, and I cant continue it! It makes it so i cant place any notes and its just the last page...

Can you attach a score that has these problems? I have a number of scores that run over 10 minutes &/or 25 pages &/or 200 measures &/or 20+ staves/instruments. For editing purposes, they tend to bog down when they get that big, but there should be no hard cut-off as you are suggesting.
Also, what version of Musescore are you using, and what is your computers operating system?

There is no 'cap' to the number of pages or measures in any version of MuseScore of which I am aware. If you get to the end of a score and can no longer enter new material, that means you have filled all the measures created with the new score wizard. The default number of measures is 32, but if you changed it to 25 at some point, the program may remember that. In any case, the actual number is unimportant, as it can be changed easily, both during the new score creation process and later on if you run out of measures (or have some left over).

To add more measures to the end of your score, simply type ALT+SHIFT+B and insert the appropriate number in the field of the pop-up dialogue.

If you have left-over measures when you're all done, select them in a blue box and type CTL+DEL.
