Playback Issues
I am having the following issues when listening to a sheet of music in the program:
1. any note with a tremolo (which im trying to use for various percussion indtruments) soounds like a regular note instead of a roll
2. when a crescendo or decrenscendo is added, it dosent work when playing back the music
Any suggestions to either problem?

None of these are currently implemented in the playback engine as the focus has been on getting notation display correct.
These playback issues will be addressed in a future version.
Searching the forums for battery or marching percussion may help you with workarounds for percussion rolls.
You can implement crescendo and decrescendo by means of the velocity parameter in Note Properties.
