When a note is selected and you input a letter on a keyboard, should Note Entry become enabled?
I'm not sure if I've asked before (or if it has been asked).
I would prefer that after selecting a note, inputting letters on a keyboard didn't enable Note Entry - I would be able to edit quicker.
What does everyone else think? If there's mixed opinions, perhaps it could be a preference.
Using MuseScore 1.1 and 2.0 Nightly Build (5375) - Mac 10.6.8.

Yes, I think it should. I read the comment made by Marc here but I'm not convinced. Entering note entry without requiring the user to press N is a good start to erase the mode behavior of MuseScore. For newcomers, it's very good to be able to create a score and press C D E F and see 4 quarter notes. They can worry about modes later.

For the record, I'm not convinced either. I think it might save me a handful of keystrokes in the long run for the reasons I statedbut there is definitely more to the issue than that. And realisitcally, it's just not that often I am flitting about a score randomly changing itches of isoltated notes. So we're talking a net win of maybe a dozen clicks per hundred pages. Not enough for me to *advocate* change, just to say I wouldn't oppose it. Kind of like the recent change to accidental behavior.
