Marking notes/passages "Spiccato."
Hello everyone, I am a new user of Musescore. I need help marking a passage of music Spiccato. I am not looking to substitute it for another similar articulation. Thank you.

Welcome, Daniel! As far as I know, there is no articulation symbol that means spiccato, but you can select the first note where you want it to start, go to Add > Text > Staff Text, and type "spiccato."

Isn't the effect (almost?) the same as staccato or staccatissimo and (almost) looks like the latter?Actually stacccatissimo wedge seems to more looks like you may want it, it is available in the nightly builds, so will be in 3.0 if and when that gets released.

Well, spiccato doesn't seem to exists in SMuFL, not under that Name anyway, so it is not in there, "staccatissimo wedge" though is

That's what I looked at too, and the reason why I suggested "staccatissimo wedge"

I question the understanding of that Wikipedia editor. It may be that strings can use spiccato to play staccatissimo, but that doesn't mean that staccatissimo = spiccato. Here's a similar argument: https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20111028033213AAnPf8s

They are almost the same but there is a slight difference. That symbol you mentioned just may work for now. I will try it out. Thank you.
