Solution to moving and inserting notes and rests

I had a problem where the score was correct, note for note and relative note timing, but I was starting in the first measure on beat 2. I realised that I actually needed the score to remain the same relative to itself but to start on beat 4 in measure 1.

I could not see a solution till one of the posts mentioned it was possible to click on the first note and shift click the last note of a section of notes to copy it. In my case I wanted to move the entire score two quarter notes to the right. I selected the first note and Shift selected the very last note of the score and Right Click Cut.

Then I inserted 4 quarter rests in measure one., so now there are four rests in measure one and the start of my tune has been temporarily lost. Now select the 4th rest in measure one and Paste. The whole score is inserted and has moved and all the measure timing is automatically adjusted.

I think this type of method may help with numerous requests regarding rests and note insertion and removal as I could not see how to solve my dilemma till then.
