Measures are getting jumbled together

I just started using this product today and have run into a problem. I've filled in notes and rests for the first line of music, but as the notes are wrapping to the second line, it seems like the measures have gotten squished together and the notes and rests are all on top of each other. When I do a playback, it plays the rests and notes in the wrong order, even though I've typed them in the way I want them. I've tried deleting a bunch of extra measures to see if they'll spread out, but it didn't work. I also tried moving the notes around in edit mode, but that didn't work either. I'm not sure what I did wrong, but it was going so well up to this point. Any thoughts?
