mscore disappeared for 24 hours

• Apr 30, 2009 - 12:46

Since Ubuntu 9.04, and upgrading Mscore to 1768, I had no sound.
So I tried some changes in the I/O tab of preferences.....and.....Msore was no longer able to start. It just collapsed after la splash screen.

I googled a bit, found that jackd was involved, and check that indeed Jack audio connection kit gave warnings....

A bit more googling and I applied
sudo modprobe snd_seq

which allowed Jack to start without warning, and have mscore again....always without sounds (and also the "tape reader" doesn't start)

I'm not sure what hapens after the next boot, and will report.

Meanwhil if anybody knows something about......I thank him

after a lot of googling, I just added the module snd-seq in /etc/modules, and this enabled mscore to start correctly.....and, how curious, the non paste ability about which I reported in another post also disappeared.....

# /etc/modules: kernel modules to load at boot time.
