Problem with Concert ptich not displaying correctly
Hello,
I am using Musescore 1.2
I like to display all the instruments in concert pitch when I am working on a score with transposing instruments.
However, when my score was finished I noticed that all the keys display independently from each other and are not the correct keys for the instruments.
How can I fix this?
I want to get the entire piece in D major concert. Right now the only thing that is correct is the flute. I have other C instruments in the piece and they are on keys like Bb and F major.
What could have caused this error as well?

Hard to say without seeing the score. Were you in concert pitch mode when you entered the notes? Were the key signatures correct (consistent) then? If so, when did this change? Did you simply turn off the Concert Pitch button? If so, do things go back to normal if you turn it back on?

Update: I tried uploading a screenshot and am unable to at this time. I will try it later.
When I entered the notes I was in concert pitch and the key signatures were fine then.
This changed as I have to export to XML format so it can be read by Finale in the Music Lab at my college.
The reason I use Musescore is because it is simpler then Finale and it is free so I can use my own computer.
I can turn off the concert pitch button and things do not go back to normal. I have never had a problem with this, but I have never worked on a score this big before as I am a student composer.
I hope we can resolve this issue.

Are you sure you had concert pitch turned on whe you enter the notes? It is off right now according to your screen shot. When you were entering the notes with concert pitch turned on, did the key signatures all match, and were you actually entering the nots at concert (meaning sounding, not written) pitch? And if it suddenly changed, it must be right after you did so ething - hit some button, etc. What was it specifically you did that triggered the change - as in, "everything was mormal, then pressed and suddenly everything changed"? Also, posting the actual score is always more helpful than just a picture of it.

I turned on the concert pitch in order to be able to build the chird prograssion and such without haveing to think about the transposition. When I turned it off, the keys for the insturments were properly transposed as well as the notes.
It was sometime after that between the transfers to XML to Fianle and back that this got messed up.
I am not sure how to get it back to displaying the proper transpositions.
The original key is soppsed to be D major concert .
I am attaching the score as it is now.

Ah, well that explains things. Transposition information is not always properly maintained when transferring back and forth via MusicXML. I forget exactly what the dependencies are, but you definitely need to be careful about whether you are in Concert Pitch mode or not when you do the export and also when you do the import (eg, whether you are applying a "style" on import that sets concert pitch on). You might trying searching this forum for other discussions of the subject to see if you can find something that will work, but for now, I'd suggest simply avoiding sending files back and forth via MusicXML except as a simple one way transfer, and expecting you'll probably have to fix a bunch of things up, because MusicXML doesn't always capture everything you'd need.
Meanwhile, if you didn't save a version of the file from before you sent it to Finale and back, I think you'll have to manually transpose staves now to get them back where they should be.

The good thing is I do have a file of the orginal Musescore file.
However, it is not al of the new things that I have implemented in.
I will have to copy the rest into that score. Is it possible to do this with multiple staves without having problems with the transposition?

Not sure but lots of things don't copy and paste at all (eg, staff text) so you have to recreate them. Personally, I'd expect it to be less work to just transpose the staves in your final version.

Using the regular transpose command - select contents of a staff, notes->transpose. Go back to concert pitch mode, transpose all staves where they should be, and srt the key signature correctly too,

When you export to MusicXML in MuseScore (1.2), you need to concert mode needs to be OFF or you will loose the fact that your instruments need to be transposed and export the concert pitch version only.
